દેશભરના અસંગઠિત શ્રમિક જે વિવિધ ક્ષોત્રોમાં કામ કરે છે તેમના ઓળખ પત્ર અને આધાર કાર્ડના આધાર પર રેકોર્ડ તૈયાર કરવામાં આવશે જેથી યોજનાઓ બનાવી લાગુ કરી શકાય.

કેન્દ્રની મોદી સરકાર અસંગઠિત શ્રમિકો માટે વધુ એક પહેલ કરવા જઈ રહી છે. શ્રમ અને રોજગાર મંત્રાલય (Ministry of Labour and Employment) 26 ઓગસ્ટે દેશભરના લગભગ 43.7 કરોડ અસંગઠિત શ્રમિકો માટે ઈ-શ્રમ પોર્ટલ લોન્ચ કરવા જઈ રહી છે.  સરકારની આ પહેલથી દેશના દરેક અસંગઠિત કામગાર સુધી સામાજીક સુરક્ષા યોજનાઓનો લાભ પહોંચશે. 

What is the e-Shram portal ?

The government aims to register 38 crore unorganised workers, such as construction labourers, migrant workforce, street vendors and domestic workers, among others. The workers will be issued an e-Shram card containing a 12 digit unique number, which, going ahead, will help in including them in social security schemes, officials said.

How will the registration for workers happen on the portal?

The registration of workers on the portal will be coordinated by the Labour Ministry, state governments, trade unions and CSCs, officials said. Awareness campaigns would be planned across the country to enable nationwide registration of workers.

Following the launch of the portal, workers from the unorganised sector can begin their registration from the same day. A national toll free number — 14434 — will also be launched to assist and address the queries of workers seeking registration on the portal.

A worker can register on the portal using his/her Aadhaar card number and bank account details, apart from filling other necessary details like date of birth, home town, mobile number and social category.

> The Centre is aiming to register 38 crore unorganised workers including construction labourers, migrant workforce, street vendors, and domestic workers among others.

> Labour minister Yadav said along with the portal, a national toll free number 14434 will also be launched to help and address queries of the workers who are seeking to get themselves registered.

> Workers can register on the e-SHRAM portal through their Aadhar card number and bank account details; they need to fill other important information such as date of birth, mobile number, hometown and social category.

> Workers will be provided with an e-SHRAM card which will have a 12 digit unique number. The objective behind the move is the integration of Centre’s social security schemes.

> The details of workers will also be shared by the state government and departments.

e-Shram portal : A database for unorganised sector workers

In order to maintain a database of workers in the unorganised sector, the government will launch the e-Shram portal tomorrow, August 26. Union Minister for Labour and Employment Bhupender Yadav has launched the logo of the e-Shram portal. The minister said the portal will be launched on August 26 and on the same day, a national toll-free number 14434 will also be launched to assist and address the queries of the workers seeking registration on the portal.

1) Following the launch of the portal, the workers from the unorganised sector can begin their registration on the same day.

2) A worker can register using his/her Aadhaar card number and bank account details, apart from filling other necessary details like date of birth, home town, mobile number, and social category.

3) As part of the initiative, the workers will be issued an e-Shram card containing a 12 digit unique number.

4) The objective behind the move is the integration of social security schemes of the government.

5) Through the e-Shram portal, the government aims to register 38 crore unorganised workers such as construction labourers, migrant workforce, street vendors, and domestic workers, among others.
